A perfect family moment

...from a Mum's perspective.

"As the whole family sat gathered around the large dining table, she sat back and allowed herself a contented sigh.   They had all eaten all of their vegetables, with smiles on their faces.  They had all talked willingly about their days, and, had enjoyed listening to each other.  No-one had bickered.  No-one had sulked.  No-one had wanted to leave the table early.  There wasn't a mobile phone or laptop or handheld games console in sight - and no, they hadn't travelled back in time to the 1950's.

It was just another perfect family moment in their perfect family life".

Ha!  This is clearly a piece of fictional writing that was written in response to the writing prompt provided by Typecast in week 2 of the  #dosomethingyummy link up for the CLIC Sargent Do Something Yummy awareness raising campaign.   To find out more, or to read other posts, please click here.
